Role Objective

To ensure compliance with the requirements of country specific data protection act and RBS Group Policy. To ensure appropriate protection of customer and employee data against inappropriate use of personal data.

Tasks and Responsebillities

• Monitor the proper use of data files, data processing programs and business processes with the aim of which personal data are to be processed and report result and gaps to the Executive Committee;
• Answer and support of internal and external questions regarding data protection issues, including advice to local HR Department on employee DP issues;
• Make sure that the Organisational Guidelines are in line with country specific data protection act, the RBS Group Policies and audit requirements and advice staff on the processing of personal data and familiarise them with all requirement, rules and regulations;
• Maintain network of influential contacts throughout relevant business fraternity, including effective representation on appropriate industry forums

Experience

• Knowledge of the local Data Protection Regulations
• Knowledge of banking regulations
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment
• Good oral and written skills in Dutch and English
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
• Affinity with banking environment
• Experience with National & International Projects
